ARTA

The purpose of the Alexandria Retired Teachers Association is to promote the economic, social, and professional status of retirees. Pursuant to that end, as stated in Article II of the ARTA constitution, we want to encourage members to maintain interest and  participation in educational, legislative, and community activities, as well as to foster good fellowship among retirees. We strive to develop programs that will be of interest to members and will inform them about current issues at the local, state, and national levels. ARTA works in cooperation with the EAA, VEA, NEA, VRTA, and AARP.
